yeah man. no footage from an actual white t’s party at the arts garage, but we love the love.also, me and emil started skating again. because of this, i was peeping some youtube footage of skaters. now, i haven’t really watched a skate video for a good 7 years. its pretty hard to believe how good people are now. my question is this… how much longer can the level of skating continue to be raised? besides competition, i don’t really know what is making switch kickflip backside nosebluntslides possible? whatever. anyway, my boy pete eldridge is fucking sick and way better than when i used to skate with him ten years ago(not surprisingly). here is some sick footage of him i was checking out. he kills switchstance and still has that dope, smooth, style.
one of the best parts about my 20’s has been me being able to see so many of my old friends succeed in shit they WANTED to do. life can’t get much better. I SEE YOU PETE!!!

alright, that free shit came out last week. and oh yeah, that shit is blazing. the hectic news is that supposedly Beans’ shit has already leaked. DAMN!!! i was waiting all year bitching about albums not coming out and now i don’t even have time to listen to them all. jay–>free–>beans..
definitely can’t complain though. in fact i want to shoot you a link of the og track that was used for my current favorite song on the album(freeway’s)- “this can’t be real”. it is a gil scott heron track entitled “did you hear what they said?” of course i wouldn’t be posting it if it wasn’t dope itself.

next friday the 7th is WTWB at the Arts Garage. the day after we are in brooklyn at savala’s with our homie caps. the next saturday after that(dec. 15th) we are back at the barbary- which is quickly turning into philly’s hottest venue. the very next saturday(dec. 22nd) after that we are back at the mad pussy party @ transit. big ups to paper street and simplefly for turning that shit into something really big that is consistently dope.

Huge thanks to the fabulous Kelly White at the City Paper and Philebrity for being one of the few journalists that has accurately and fairly captured what White Ts is all about in this week’s issue of the City Paper. You can read the article in its entirety here. I’m pissed we didn’t get the cover shot. If that picture isn’t a cover shot, I don’t know what is (CERTAINLY NOT THIS!! WTF?!). Oh well. Next time.
Anyway, funny story about that picture. That first railing that Bo and I are posing on is only like 8 or 9 feet off the ground but I was scared OUT OF MY MIND trying to climb onto that thing. It of course didn’t help that SUPER HUMAN MAN Dan the Swede was climbing up and down that jawn like he was Spiderman on speed. That didn’t make me feel any better about myself. It took me literally like 15 or 20 minutes of convincing and rallying and pep-talking to finally put myself out there on that stupid rail. After I hopped down onto the ground and looked up at the stupid thing, I quickly realized how big of a wuss I truly am. Pathetic.
But, it made for a really hot picture even though my jeans look young as hell and my scrunched up mean-mug face gives credence to the widely held belief in my neighborhood that I look like Jim Jones. People actually call me “Jim” in my neighborhood (and I must shout out Diplo for being the first person to notice my unfortunate likeness to this ugly man). Hilarious.
Big shout out to my visvims that made their first appearance in print. I was telling Bo before the shoot, “I’m getting these shoes in this picture some how or other.” I did. And thank god I was wearing black socks.
Anyway, pick up a City Paper and hang us on your walls you bastards.

This Saturday, them White Ts bols will be rocking out at Transit Nite Club with MSTRKRFT and our best buds from Ottawa, the Jokers of the Scene It’s only $10 ON THE LIST so get on that thing now and come party with us on Saturday. The Jokers and White Ts will be killing it house party style downstairs (and really, the basement at Transit is one of the best places in the city to DJ and to party) while MSTRKRFT will be doing their thing upstairs.
I know Philly’s been SLOOOOOOOW lately, but things are heating up and this is just the beginning.

That’s right folks me, emil, and dan are heading off to canada for the weekend. We will be in Ottawa on Friday, and Montreal on Saturday. Big thanks go to The Jokers of the Scene(Ottawa) and Dj Huggs(Montreal). This is the first time we have taken the whole party on the road since NYC in the spring so this is sure to be some ol’ crazy shit.
Philly: we will be back on Sunday rocking with Strawberry Mansion Dj’s at Silk City. Besides that we got some other big things lined up before the end of the month so we can all still get down family style in familiar surroundings. CHECK THE BLOG HOMIES!!!
