Been wanting to knock out a 90’s hip-hop mix forever. Hard to start because its so intimidating to do a tracklist. My peoples that do the Decades Hat Co. asked me to contribute a mix to commemorate their 19XX hat release, and thats all the motivation I needed. Stoked on this mix. A lot of obvious tracks on here, but a lot of this music is now 20 years old, kind of cool at this point to throw some of the bigger joints on a mix.

Its somewhat of a rite of passage for Philly rappers to get their first spot on the Come-Up Show. Chill Moody got his chance to rock it a couple weeks ago and took full advantage of the opportunity. That hardbody Philly rap from the living legend Meek Mill on top of Jahlil Beat’s updated Philly sound. In my eyes, Jahlil does a great job of re-interpreting and updating the percussion heavy Philly style of production popularized in the late 80s and early 90s by Tuff Crew, Schoolly D, and Steady B. And thankfully Meek hasn’t slowed down at all since he teamed up with Ross and them. Beastly! As always, shout out to All Flamerz on the look.
