Emynd & Kenny Meez – Motown Reggae Pack Part 1 by CrossfadedBacon

About a year ago I started to work on a collection of Motown Reggae Blends. I never got around to finishing them and putting them out until my dude Kenny Meez from Federation Sound hit me up this past week and encouraged me to wrap em up so we could put out a pack. So, here they are! Some really awesome blends of classic Motown on top of classic One Drop riddims. Some of these sound better then others, but the ones that work really sound great. And we don’t stoooooooooooop! Booyakashah! The 1st & 15th Mixcast is back again for August!

In preparation for Emynd’s most recent It’s The Year 1990 party with Bo Bliz, Emynd found himself coming up on quite a batch of quality reggae and dancehall tunes from the early 90s that found their way on to this superbly summery mix of classics, randoms, and rarities, most of which came from around 1990. This is likely the first volume in what will hopefully be a long-running series of mixes exploring early dancehall and reggae tunes. Bump it at your late summer BBQ, or listen to at work while organizing crap in Excel. Whatever you do, we hope y’all enjoy it!
